Required Skills / Competencies:

 Business Intelligence and Analytics, Excel and System such as Data Prep 

o Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and ability to learn and utilize computerized systems for daily performance of tasks

Scope of Work

The student would work as an intern within the Qualified Persons (QP) team responsible for batch release of sterile and non-sterile pharma products at Plaza 254. They will have exposure to quality operational, quality systems and regulatory teams across the global BMS organisation.  

 

Work will mainly involve supporting the compilation and preparation of batch documentation for review by the Qualified Person as part of the batch release process. The successful candidate will also have opportunity to support quality system tasks within the Qualified Persons team (documentation updates, change controls, deviations) and cross-functional tasks with the wider BMS organisation. 

 

• Directly support Qualified Persons within the QP team carrying out final release to market. 

• Compile batch release documentation into QP pack for review by the QP. 

- Identify and resolve batch release documentation issues. 

• Support change controls, deviations and corrective actions associated with QP group activities.  

• Generation and maintenance of Batch Certificate templates. 

• Support cross-functional projects and continuous improvement initiatives.  

• Support QP activities relating to new product introduction, product launch preparation and technology transfer. 

• Support the Global BMS internal self-inspection program.

Key Deliverables & Milestones to be reviewed through the placement: 

General understanding of GMP principles. 

General understanding of the BMS QMS. 

General understanding of the role of the Qualified Person. 

General understanding of the batch release process. 

Understanding of the Batch Certificate template requirements and sources of information.  

Proficiency in compiling batch release documentation into QP pack for review by the Qualified Person. 

Key learnings for the Intern: 

• Comprehensive understanding of GMP within Pharmaceutical industry 

• Understanding of QMS systems used in manufacturing  

• Understanding of Batch Release process within Pharmaceutical Industry. 

• Ability to apply problem solving in a real cross-functional work environment.
