Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Pest Control Technician to join our Service Experts HVAC and Plumbing team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of pest control duties, including identifying pest species and infestations, and applying pesticides. The ideal candidate should have in-depth knowledge of pest control and the laws regarding hazardous materials used for pest control.

Responsibilities:

Apply pesticides to structures per work schedule, safety procedures, and instructions on labelsIdentify pest species, rodents, signs of infestations, and damage caused by pests and/or rodentsComply with federal state and local laws to ensure the safe operations of hazardous materials related to our Pest Control servicesConduct inspections of surroundings to ensure the area is clear of pestsCollaborate with clients, contractors, and other team members to discuss project requirements and timelines.Estimate materials, equipment, and labor costs for pest control projects.Adhere to pest control codes, laws, regulations, and safety standards.Mentor and provide guidance to junior pest control technicians.Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used.Coordinate with suppliers to procure pest control materials and equipment.

Health & Safety Roles & Responsibilities: 

Reports any unsafe acts, conditions and hazards to direct supervisor/manager immediately Reports  any  contravention  of  legislation  or  company  policy,  procedure  or  program  to  direct  supervisor/manager immediately Corrects substandard acts or conditions within area of control Uses  and  maintains  appropriate  personal  protective  equipment  (PPE)  as  prescribed  by  company  program(s) or procedure(s) Never  removes  or  renders  ineffective  any  safety  guards,  devices,  or  clothing prescribed  to  be  in  place or worn Complies with the general rules as prescribed by company program(s) procedure(s) Operates devices or equipment as prescribed by company program(s) or procedure(s) Participates in any safety initiatives, teams, or committees Reports all injuries or incidents as prescribed by company program(s) or procedure(s) immediately Provides input on developing safety initiatives and plans to eliminate exposures that could cause accidents 

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent.Proven experience as a Pest Control Technician or similar role. 3+ years.In-depth knowledge of pest control codes, regulations, and best practices.Strong understanding of pest control systems, materials, and tools.Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.Effective communication and leadership skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Strong attention to detail and time management skills.Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects.Valid pest control license/certification.Valid driver's license.

Working Conditions:

This position involves physical labor and may require working in confined spaces or at heights.Work may be performed indoors or outdoors, depending on the project.Exposure to various weather conditions, including heat, cold, and humidity.May be required to work in hazardous environments or with potentially dangerous materials.Availability to work evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts as needed.
