Job Summary

Provides age appropriate exercise services including fitness assessments, member orientation, person and group exercise classes, and person and group personal training sessions. Helps with program development and marketing.

Essential Functions of the Role

\n\nAdministers age appropriate exercise readiness assessments and documents significant findings, goals and exercise plan. Reassesses participant appropriately and modifies the fitness program as indicated.\nCommunicates with participant about fitness center amenities.\nInstructs participant selecting appropriate teaching method; presenting information to person to reduce risk of injury; observing participant's behavior to establish comprehension of information presented; and modifying teaching techniques based on need.\nDirects and supervises the activities of person or group fitness members.\nPerforms administrative duties including follow up phone calls, calendar updates.\nParticipates in hospital related activities to enhance personal and professional growth, enhance capabilities of team members and help orientation.\nProvides supervision and education to participants requesting personal or group training.\nExhibits good guest relations to participant, visitors, physicians, co-workers, students, and volunteers. Projects a positive image in all interactions.\nTake part in professional development through attendance at continuing professional development through attendance through continuing education.\nProvides direction and education to participants requesting personal or group training.\nExhibits good guest relations to participant, visitors, physicians, co-workers, students, and volunteers. Projects a positive image in all interactions.\nAssures continued professional development through attendance at continuing professional development through attendance through continuing education.\nAdheres to hospital policies and procedures including infection control, safety, and administrative.\nUpholds professional and ethical conduct.\n\n

Certifications/Liscenses/Registration

Must have one of the following:

\n\nBasic Life Support (BLS)\nCardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)\nHeartsaver AED (HSAED)\nCPR/AED through American Red Cross (CPREAD).\n
