SWBC is seeking a talented individual to manage the staff and activities of the Personal Lines department by overseeing and supporting the production of new business and customer service for existing clients; maintaining an effective working relationship with company representatives; and ensuring policies and procedures are being followed by department while exercising discretion and independent judgment with limited supervision.

Essential duties include the following:
Manages the staff and activities involved in the evaluating, processing and placing personal lines applications to ensure accuracy, integrity, and customer satisfaction to include interviewing for open positions; coaching, counseling, and disciplining; processes time cards, delegating work assignments, and resolves personnel related issues.Develops and maintains workflows for all Personal Lines employees from customer intake to policy binding and any ongoing servicing.Works with individual Account Managers for employee development, skill growth and technology implementationIdentifies technology gaps and potential efficiencies utilizing available and approved productsServes as the key expert and point of contact for the evaluating, processing and placing of VIP accounts ensuring the efficient and effective processing of new personal lines business to include establishing client relations.Gathers and disperses legal notification of policy changes for both company instigated and legislatively instigated to all affected clients.Meets with commercial producers and other division representatives to cultivate new leads for personal lines.Cultivates referral sources outside of our organization with Wealth Managers, Real Estate agents and other potential referral sources.Manages Personal Lines carriers and wholesale relationships in order to insure adequate market representation. Monitors, maintains, and renews High Net Worth personal lines accounts ensuring the efficient and effective processing of renewal personal lines business to include maintaining client relations.Provides assistance with complex renewals and/or new personal lines policies and with the goal setting processes.Monitors the execution of company and agency underwriting and procedures guidelines to ensure adherence to department standards.Serious candidates will possess the minimum qualifications:
Associate’s Degree in Business, Management, or related field, or equivalent experience required.Possess an insurance license in General and Surplus lines.Minimum of two to four (2 – 4) years of personal lines insurance experience, which includes at least two (2) years supervisory experience.Strong working knowledge of insurance forms, coverage and rating.Strong working knowledge of PC’s and related applications.Excellent analytical and problem resolution skills.Strong verbal, organizational, and interpersonal skills.Able to work under sometimes stressful conditions, while maintaining professionalism and enthusiasm.Able to exercise discretion and independent judgment with limited supervision.Able to sit for long periods of time updating, and validating insurance policies.Able to lift and/or push 10-20 lbs. of files, insurance manuals, or boxes.Able to travel locally and nationally.SWBC offers*:
