What Is the Opportunity?The Travelers Canada Internship Program provides qualified students with an excellent opportunity to gain first-hand experience, receive valuable on-the-job training and learn more about the property & casualty insurance industry. Interns receive challenging work assignments that add value and impact the organization.What Will You Do?Targeted areas of study include but are not limited to Business Administration and Insurance.Complete challenging and meaningful work.Work alongside experienced professionals and get exposure to employees from different lines of business.Learn about the insurance industry, different lines of business, interact with a variety of talented leaders from the organization and more!Partner with PI Underwriters and Underwriting Managers to establish support needs for new and in force policies.Manage policy documentation (i.e., policy change, endorsements, cancellations, broker record changes, letters of experience etc.).Ensure accurate and timely servicing of PI policies.Communicate with brokers and internal departments. (i.e., researches and resolves issues, responds to inquiries and questions).Provide administrative support and other related services as needed (e.g., input policy information into system).Participate in projects/assignments as needed.Perform other duties as assigned.What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?We are most interested in students who are serious about entering the insurance industry and who are excited about the prospect of making Personal Insurance Underwriting their future career choice.Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above preferred.Students completing their final or 3rd year is preferred.Strong verbal and written communication skillsStrong problem-solving skillsWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office.Strong analytical skills.

What is a Must Have?Must be pursuing post-secondary degree.Legally eligible to work in the Canada.
