Permit Drafter I
A successful Permit Drafter I shall be responsible for preparing all permits for; Railroads, DOT, Cities, Counties, and Utilities as well as ensuring timely permit approval; also, planning routes from the current network in order to find the best route to permit to the customer location; also, responsible for identifying, procuring, and complying with governmental and non-governmental permits. Under supervision prepare pole applications and ROW permits for approval by the permitting authority. At a minimum, the position requires a good working knowledge of telecommunications network design; ability to use ARCGIS and other office related equipment, familiarity with telecommunications design software; ability to read, understand, interpret, input and analyze data. In order to perform this job, you must demonstrate, either by training or experience: Work and thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly-changing environment Exceptional critical thinking ability Excellent communication, interpersonal and analytical skills Interpret and analyze data with a high degree of accuracy and completeness Perform independently with minimal supervision, exercising latitude to achieve project objectives Work safely, with or without supervision Excellent manual dexterity and the ability to work seated at a table for extended periods Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in a related field or 2 years of related work experience Proficient in the use of office hardware and software (PCs, Tablets, Printers, Copiers, Microsoft, Google, etc.) Experienced in assigned function, example (Accounting, Engineering, IT, Procurement, Project Mgmt, etc.) Authorized to work in the United States Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen, background, and motor vehicle record check What you'll get...
