About the Agency: The Idaho Division of Career Technical Education (IDCTE) provides leadership, administration, and coordination for programs in secondary and post secondary career technical education (CTE) and adult education across the state of Idaho. With a customer-service focus, the Division leads Idaho’s efforts to prepare youth and adults for high-skill, in-demand careers. Summary:The Perkins Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and overseeing key aspects of the Perkins grant program and the Methods of Administration (MOA) initiative. This role involves collaboration with the Program Director of Perkins and MOA and close interaction with the fiscal and program quality services teams. The Coordinator will ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, support program improvement efforts, and facilitate effective communication between stakeholders to achieve program goals. This position requires intermittent travel in state and out of state. Responsibilities: Coordination and Compliance: + Serve as a compliance and resource expert for the Perkins federal grant, federal Uniform Grant Guidance (2 CFR 200), and other relevant grant-related processes. + Ensure adherence to all federal, state, and local regulations governing grant administration, including monitoring compliance with the Perkins grant and MOA guidelines. + Manage day-to-day operations and administrative activities, maintaining frequent communication with subrecipient representatives, including teachers, administrators, and business managers. + Coordinate grant activities within established budgets and timelines, ensuring efficient and effective use of resources. Document Management and Reporting: + Create, process, and maintain various documents and administrative records, ensuring accuracy in handling technical information and complex formats. + Compose, edit, and distribute correspondence based on general and technical instructions, ensuring clarity and compliance with grant requirements. + Evaluate and document compliance findings and provide recommendations to subrecipients not meeting federal requirements, ensuring timely and appropriate corrective actions. + Provide ongoing oversight and technical assistance to districts and institutions, supporting the implementation of remedies to address compliance issues. + Assist in the preparation and submission of required reports, contributing to accurate and timely reporting of grant activities and outcomes. Subrecipient Support and Monitoring: + Provide training, guidance, and technical assistance to subrecipients to ensure compliance with grant requirements. + Review subaward reimbursement requests to confirm compliance before processing payments, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to grant guidelines. + Conduct on-site visits to subrecipients for grant monitoring and technical assistance, documenting findings, and making recommendations for corrective actions as needed. Professional Development and Relationships: + Stay current with evolving federal grant requirements and best practices in grant administration and compliance. + Work effectively under pressure, demonstrating sound judgment and discretion in decision-making processes. + Foster positive, supportive, and respectful relationships with colleagues, subrecipients, and partners, contributing to a collaborative work environment. Minimum Qualifications: Experience: + Bachelor’s degree OR 3-5 years professional experience + Knowledge of and experience with federal grant administration + Knowledge of and experience with data analysis + Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or equivalent and database management systems + Experience with federal and state grant compliance, particularly in education and training + Experience in program coordination, project management, or administration Preferred Qualifications: + Auditing knowledge or experience + Experience in training or public speaking + Strong understanding of the Perkins V grant program, including funding requirements and compliance + Proficiency in data analysis and reporting, particularly related to program performance and compliance + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and with external stakeholders + Experience with financial management software or grant management systems + Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously + Capacity to stay updated on changes in federal and state educational policies affecting Perkins and MOA Application Procedure: Prepare a cover letter, resume, and a list of references with at least two former or current supervisors and attach to your candidate profile.
