Peripheral Products and Competitive Analysis Product Manager

HP's Retail & Industry Solutions (RIS) Business Unit is a leading provider of in-store solutions to empower associates and engage customers. These solutions include traditional POS systems, mobile POS systems, and Retail peripherals. We are looking to fuel our growth in this market segment by adding new talent and leadership to our Global Product Management team.

The RIS Product Manager is responsible for managing the peripheral offering as well as track the competition and conduct comprehensive price feature value analysis for the portfolio to ensure competitive positioning. This critical role is a key interface with the category and field sales teams, gathering deep customer and industry insights, and translating those into `specific product definition requirements. This individual partners closely with engineering, industrial design, category, customer insights, marketing, and other support functions to ensure we bring the right solutions to market.


Responsibilities

Track the competition and conduct comprehensive price feature value (PFV) analysis for the portfolio to ensure competitive positioning.

Develop and maintain a deep understanding of market trends, competitor strategies, and customer needs.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align product strategies with market demands and business objectives.

Provide actionable insights and recommendations to senior management to inform strategic decision-making.

Monitor and analyze product performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and drive continuous enhancement with the greater product management team.

Manage the sustaining peripheral roadmap offering, including displays, cash drawers, printers, barcode scanners, etc.

Assist in the launch of new peripheral products, ensuring seamless integration and market readiness.

Communicate findings and strategies effectively to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Is perceived by the sales team to be an expert in the products/services/solutions and regularly is called on to defend the benefits in front of customers or partners.



Education & Experience Recommended

College degree in Marketing/Business/Technical. Master Of Business Administration Preferred.

5 years in product marketing fundamentals.

Demonstrated management skills.

Demonstrated strategic leadership in product design or current product management.

Demonstrated experience working with selling partners, R&D or customers.

Proven experience leading, driving and measuring teams towards a common goal.

Ability to interact with all levels of the company, including senior management
