Overview This role is pivotal in ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to pediatric trauma patients through performance improvement initiatives, data analysis, and collaborative efforts across multiple departments. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of trauma care, a commitment to evidence-based practices, and a passion for enhancing patient outcomes through continuous quality improvement. Job Details Key Responsibilities: Data Collection & Analysis: Collect, track, and analyze clinical data related to pediatric trauma care. Monitor patient outcomes, trends, and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement. Performance Improvement Initiatives: Lead and support quality improvement projects aimed at optimizing trauma care delivery, reducing complications, and improving overall patient outcomes. This includes collaborating with trauma teams, nursing staff, and other healthcare providers to implement evidence-based practices. Education & Training: Provide education and training to clinical staff on best practices, standards, and protocols related to pediatric trauma care. Develop educational materials and conduct regular in-services to promote staff competency and ensure adherence to protocols. Compliance & Accreditation: Assist in ensuring compliance with American College of Surgeons, Committee on Trauma (ACS-COT) trauma center standards, state and national trauma data standards, including participation in trauma center accreditation processes. Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including trauma surgeons, pediatric intensivists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, to optimize care processes and foster a collaborative approach to quality improvement Evidence-Based Practice: Stay current with the latest research in pediatric trauma care and performance improvement. Qualifications and requirements Registered Nurse Bachelor’s degree in nursing or healthcare related field Minimum 5 years of clinical experience in pediatric trauma care or related field. Healthcare related data experience Proficient in Microsoft Office Products Experience with performance improvement process Experience with data quality improvement processes such as data analysis, process modeling and quality measures Salary Range USD $62.47 - USD $62.47 /Hr. This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
