Are you looking for a technical challenge that will make a difference for our global footprint? We are currently developing all our platforms toward new legalisations EPA27, and Euro 7 and we are optimizing our complete product portfolio toward a sustainable transportation system. 

ENM chief engineering organisation is responsible for all the powertrain development within Scania and has a major responsibility in Traton group to ensure the ICE (Internal Combustion Engines) road map for all Brands within the group. We initiate and lead the development projects for all the engine platforms to enhance our product offering and create more value for our customers. The teams work actively to balance the properties and are responsible for the quality assurance, time plan, cost and leads verification of every engine platform. 

Each Chief Engineer (manager) has a team with core members with different responsibility areas. Assistant chief engineer, Performance group leader, Engine Verification leader, Performance object managers and Layout engineer. 

Your Role

As performance group leader, you will lead engine performance development in its entirety. Whole-engine calibration, as well as integration and requirement balancing between performance-affecting items, forms the core of your business. The work is very cross-functional, with emphasis within working with After treatment and controls. In your role, you will have a unique opportunity to influence all performance-affecting components and systems. The performance group leader also contributes important input so that the engine fits well into our engine program, and thus has great opportunities to influence the characteristics and character of the engine/driveline, especially regarding emissions, fuel consumption, and drivability.

 

Lead the Performance group meetings (Cross functional Team) Responsible for prioritizing the performance group's functional tests Ensure that the right technology choice is made to reach set goals.  Continuously developing working methods and processes Set and follow up performance development Plan and ensure test resources are available


Your Profile

You have a bachelor's or master's degree in engineering. Have experience in 5 -10 year of experience within R&D. You have a driven nature and should have the ability to structure your own work as well as lead others. You are also a team player with the ability to interact well with others and key stakeholders. A major portion of our work is carried out in collaboration with international partners so you should have effective communication skills and be able to express yourself both verbally and in writing in both English and Swedish. This role is perfect when you like to develop your leadership skills and lead technical development.
