Perennial Supervisor Lakeville Location (M-F 7am-3:30pm) Position Duties: + Direct all aspects of perennial production operations including planting, growing, and shipping of high-quality container-grown perennials.  + Determine and manage production timetables including liner purchasing/receiving schedule, planting schedule, liner sizes, greenhouse vs. outside production, etc. to meet retail and wholesale needs throughout the garden season.  + Manage all aspects of cultural care including water management, fertility/soil management, pest control, and plant growth regulations. + Work with the Director of Nursery production to coordinate planting and pest control activities.  + Establish and execute quality control standards and practices that regularly ensure the program meets or exceeds customer expectations.  + Coordinate with Greenhouse Production as needed.  + Perform administrative duties including developing and managing the department operating budget, maintaining and communicating accurate and timely reports of product availability and inventory levels, and maintaining accurate and detailed records for all activities.  + Assist in other nursery operations as needed. Work as part of the Lakeville team to support all Lakeville activities as needed.  Qualifications: + Bachelor's degree in Horticulture or closely related field and/or 3 years of experience in nursery production management. + 2 years of perennial production experience. + Demonstrated knowledge of perennial production practices. + Excellent working knowledge of perennial plant varieties and their cultural requirements. + Two years of management/leadership/supervisory experience.  + Strong technical expertise in proper and safe integrated pest management practices, including chemical pest control and WPS. Technical experience in soil management and water quality management practices.  + Demonstrated planning, organization, and interpersonal skills.
