As a Medical Assistant on the UCLA Health Ambulatory Float Team, you'll have the chance to visit various ambulatory clinics, providing both administrative support and patient care. This role requires a Clinic Assistant who is adaptable, energetic, and proactive, as you'll be traveling to different UCLA Community practices throughout the greater Southern California area, with your schedule changing based on your assignments. Salary range: $26.43-$26.43 Hourly Qualifications Required: + Skill and knowledge to maintain current Medical Assistant Certification or diploma + Possession of active CPR certification/BLS from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross + Ability to take vital signs, venipunctures, perform injections, administer medications, and obtain drug refills + Knowledge of all instruments and supplies to perform physical examinations and procedures + Knowledge of symptomatology of common and/or life threatening medical problems and assessing abnormal laboratory values + Ability to use a computerized patient care systems and proficiency with the Windows operating system + Ability to be highly flexible, travel to multiple work sites within UCLA Health community based practices and work a variable schedule Highly desired: + Possession of Phlebotomy Certification + Minimum of six months of working experience as a Medical Assistant in a healthcare setting UCLA Health welcomes all individuals, without regard to race, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, religion, national origin or disabilities, and we proudly look to each person’s unique achievements and experiences to further set us apart.
