Job Description

PLEASE NOTE: This is a short term position with an estimated duration of 6 months, unless otherwise amended or terminated as deliverables within this project are completed. 

This position is responsible for assisting in the production of virtual and in-person CNBC Events.  This role works closely with the event leads to create high quality experiences for our target audiences, sponsors, and speakers.   We are looking for someone creative, solution oriented, well-organized, and able to multi-task with attention to detail.  Ideal candidates should be able to work in a team setting and independently on job responsibilities.

Support team’s managers and event leads on overall production planningMaintain and organize project documents, schedules, staffing lists, deliverables and deadlinesHelp facilitate logistical details for in person and virtual events, including location set-up and breakdown, staging, A/V, branding, catering, giveaways and shippingWork with designers on event graphics for both virtual and in-person eventsSource and coordinate vendors based on timeline and budget expectationsManage and negotiate vendor contracts, including facilitating legal review processAssist onsite with event execution, including vendor arrivals and set-upCollaborate with sales marketing team to meet sponsor requirementsResearch and build decks with venue and activation ideas for various event formatsBring new and creative ideas for event production, branding and attendee experienceRemain up-to-date on industry trends and advancements

Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.

 

Qualifications

Qualifications:

Two or more years of related experience planning eventsAbility to manage logistics for multiple events at the same timeExperience using virtual event platforms a plusProficient in creating slide decks and spreadsheetsSelf-starter who can work independently as well as collaborate across teamsExcellent organizational, communication, negotiation and multitasking skillsAble to work under pressure and meet deadlinesExcellent interpersonal skills with an ability to interact with all levels of management
