People Specialist: Talent Operations Africa (Gauteng)

We are looking for a People Specialist: Talent Operations Africa to serve as the operational link between the Talent Centre of Excellence (CoE) and the African/South African HR Operations team, taking responsibility for coordinating and implementing the full talent lifecycle.   

 

As a People Specialist: Talent Operations Africa, you will be responsible for, but not limited to: 

Talent Acquisition 

Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition team to execute effective recruitment strategies to meet the workforce needs of the organisation.  Work in partnership with the Talent Acquisition team to carry out accurate workforce planning.   Partner with key stakeholders to identify job requirements and key success factors for existing and new roles withing the organisational structure.  Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition team to build and maintain a pipeline of suitable external candidates for current and future needs.  Partner with the Talent Acquisition team when a vacancy arises to ensure that processes are adhered to and that internal candidates are considered.  

Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) 

Promote EDI initiatives across all talent management processes.  Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure inclusive hiring practices and a diverse workforce.   Collaborate with the EDI team to align pipeline and talent with a transformational lens to drive targets.   Facilitate the tracking and reporting of EDI metrics relative to talent practices.   

 

End-to-end Talent Management 

Act as a thought leader, ensuring that talent management initiatives are applicable to the region.  Execute talent management strategies from the CoE in alignment to the context of the region and monitor the implementation thereof.  Oversee performance management processes, ensuring compliance to key dates, and assist with goal setting, scorecard templates and development planning.   Facilitate the annual Talent Review process and ensure that the necessary practices are carried out post the identification of talent.  Collaborate with the People Development team to devise appropriate development plans for all identified talent.  Work with Employees, People Partners and Line Managers to identify career growth opportunities aligned to individual aspirations and business needs.   Collaborate with People Partners and Line Managers to develop individual retention plans.  Collaborate with the CoE and other key stakeholders to identify and develop future leaders.  Maintain a talent pipeline for critical roles to ensure business continuity.  Assess the talent bench strength and readiness of talent across all levels and devise contingency plans for any identified risks.  Drive talent mobility within the region.   Maintain talent lists and create visibility thereof for key stakeholders. 

Project Management  

Drive and coordinate key talent-related projects across the business.  Manage and coordinate key changes across the talent management cycle, including communication, contextual alignment and successful implementation.  Where relevant, manage talent exchange programmes and provide relevant feedback. 

 Stakeholder Engagement  

Ensure Regular Interaction with Various Stakeholders   Ensure that key changes in the financial environment are communicated to relevant stakeholders
