People - HR Generalist PAE, 3121 109th St SW, Everett, Washington, United States of America Req #1079 Sunday, September 15, 2024 SUMMARY: Under minimal supervision, the HR Generalist is responsible for various operational activities of the People department, including some or all of the following functional areas: employee relations, recruiting and staffing, compensation, benefits, HRIS, and general Human Resources (HR) practices. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : + Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and leaders, referring matters to the appropriate staff member as needed. + Conducts all aspects of the external recruitment process, including advertising, job fairs, sourcing, screening, interviewing, checking references, and coordinating onboarding activities such as background checks and drug screens. Collaborates with departmental leadership to understand the education, skills, and competencies required for open positions before the commencement of recruitment activities. Works with leaders to update job descriptions as necessary. + Assists HR Business Partners with employee and candidate visa coordination. + Tracks and analyzes data related to recruiting and staffing and performs work in compliance with state and federal employment regulations. + Coordinates with multiple staffing agencies to obtain contract labor as needed. Ensures contract labor onboarding processes are consistent with ATS processes to the best of their ability. + Conducts new hire orientation sessions. Facilitates and delivers content for other training programs and classes the People Team offers as required. + Works closely with leaders to facilitate the internal transfer and promotion process, ensuring fairness at each step. + Conducts exit interviews with departing employees and may relay information to leadership. + Communicates Human Resource policies, procedures, laws, standards, and government regulations to employees and leaders. + Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law. + Assists with employee relations investigations, including responding to complaints of unfair work practices, harassment, discrimination, and misconduct. May conduct investigational interviews with employees, document responses, and follow up with leaders regarding allegations. + Prepares unemployment claim documentation, including rebuttals. May participate in unemployment hearings. + Communicates benefits information to employees, assists with enrollment, and answers general benefit questions. Serves as the onsite local resource for benefit programs and resolves benefit issues at satellite locations. Communicate regularly with the Benefits Administrator to ensure compliance and raise concerns as appropriate. + Facilitates the coordination of HR programs, including leaves of absence, tuition reimbursement, per diem requests, recognition programs, and events. + Supports periodic Culture Check surveys through monitoring and reporting. + Facilitates employee recognition at local locations as required. + Maintains presentation materials and schedules ATS Academy classes as required. + Utilizes the HRIS system to facilitate the recruitment process. Backs up HRIS Specialist in HR actions (hire, termination, etc.) as required, always ensuring data integrity. + May generate and interpret reports to assist leaders in making data-driven decisions. + Maintains Recruiting and HR Personnel files, ensuring compliance with applicable retention guidelines. OTHER DUTIES: + Performs other duties as assigned. + Assists with special HR projects as needed. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: + Bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related field is preferred. + Minimum of four (4) years of directly applicable experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. + SHRM and/or HRCI certification preferred. PHYSICAL EFFORT AND DEXTERITY: While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to sit, stand, and walk; use their hands and arms; talk or hear; and focus on objects close up. The employee may be required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. COMPENSATION: + The full base pay range for this position is$67,724.80 – 97,995.55(expressed as annual salary), exclusive of benefits or potential bonuses. The lower end of the range represents the target base pay for those beginning or developing in the role. The higher end of the range is intended for those who have mastered the role with proven significant expertise, high achievement, and specialized skills. If you are hired at ATS, your salary will be based on factors such as skills, education, and experience. In addition to those factors – we consider the internal equity of our current employees when determining offers. This position is eligible for an annual bonus.
