People & Culture Business Partner/project lead 50/50

We are now looking for you, who has an interest in working as a P&C BP at approximately 50 percent within Scania China in combination with 50 percent project management. Both parts of the role are based in Sweden.

In recent years, Scania has worked intensively to establish a factory in China. Initially, a large part of the work took place from Sweden, but as the unit has grown, the work has gradually moved to China. A smaller team is still located in Sweden and the People & Culture Business Partner who previously supported the organization has moved to China. Therefore, we are now in the need of a replacement.

The other 50 percent of the position will focus on specific projects within People & Culture Production & Logistics. The first project will be to work through the working method for performance evaluations of fixed-term workshop employees. Today's working methods and digital evaluation systems need to be reviewed and moved into MySuccess.

As a P&C BP you need to:

      Conflict Resolution: Act as a mediator in resolving cross-cultural misunderstandings or conflicts, promoting a harmonious and productive work environment.

 

      Communication Channels: Establish and maintain effective communication channels between global teams to ensure transparency and alignment in achieving project objectives.

 

Cross-Cultural Management:

        Diversity and Inclusion: Promote a culture of diversity and inclusion within the organization by fostering respect and understanding of different cultural perspectives.

 

        Cultural Competence: Provide guidance and training to managers and employees on cultural competence, helping them to work effectively with colleagues from various backgrounds.

 

        Global Mindset: Advocate for a global mindset within the organization, ensuring that decisions and strategies consider the perspectives and needs of all regions.

 

Close Collaboration with HR Colleagues in China:

Local HR Support: Work closely with HR colleagues in China to ensure that global HR initiatives are effectively localized and implemented.   Compliance and Best Practices: Collaborate with the China HR team to ensure compliance with local labor laws while aligning with global best practices.   Knowledge Sharing: Facilitate the exchange of knowledge and best practices between the global HR team and the HR team in China.  

Flexibility with Different Time Zones:

Time Zone Management: Be flexible and adaptable to working across different time zones, ensuring availability for key meetings and communications with international teams.Efficient Scheduling: Plan and manage your time effectively to accommodate the needs of teams in various geographical locations without compromising productivity.Work-Life Balance: Promote a balanced approach to managing different time zones within the teams, ensuring that no team members are consistently disadvantaged by scheduling.  

To succeed in the role with us, you should have:

 An academic degree in HR or another relevant degree, or equivalent work experience

 Several years of experience in broad, independent, and professional HR work, both operational and strategic

 Analytical skills and experience of working with HR systems
