People Advisor (Compensation) Job Description: Are you an HR Advisor/Generalist with an interest in compensation and strong data analysis skills? Job Purpose: Along with another People Advisor - Compensation Specialist, you will take ownership of compensation-related administrative tasks, reporting, and managing daily compensation queries from colleagues and people managers in the UK, allowing our Compensation Partners to focus on more complex queries and strategic compensation related iniatives. We are a centralised team responsible for managing all administrative tasks and complex queries related to rewards. Learn more about our commitment to social responsibility via our Sage Foundation:https://www.sage.com/en-gb/company/sage-foundation/ Location: Hybrid - 3 days per week of in-office collaboration from our Newcastle office: C23, 5&6, Cobalt Park Way, Wallsend NE28 9EJ Minimum Qualifications: • You have 2+ years of experience in HR Advisory/Generalist and either an interest or specialisation in compensation. • You have intermediate-to-advanced proficiency with Excel (e.g., VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and formulas) and can draw meaningful and reliable conclusions from large, complex, datasets. • You possess a basic understanding of statistics (e.g., mean, median, quartiles) to support data-driven decision-making. Key Responsibilities: Key Responsibilities: • Conduct job evaluations to ensure fairness and consistency across the business. • Manage compensation queries from colleagues ensuring effective ticket (ServiceNow) resolution. • Review and submit pay data to external, market-leading salary surveys. • Maintain and update manager resources in online brochures. • Ensure data accuracy through regular audits, data cleansing, and updates in our HCM system. • Support the pay review cycle by ensuring data integrity, testing compensation planning tools, and facilitating a seamless experience for Managers during year-end reward activities. • Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with cross-functional People teams, Director of Rewards, and People Business Partners. • Recommend process improvements to strengthen workflows and collaboration. • Provide ad hoc support to the Reward Centre of Excellence (COE) for projects and initiatives. • Complete cyclical compensation activities, including gender pay gap analysis and national minimum wage reviews.
