The NRVCS SAFE Team is seeking a Peer Recovery Specialist to provide person-centered, wellness-focused support to engage clients in treatment and to promote use of the client's wellness recovery plan. The Peer Recovery Specialist shares their lived experiences with recovery to inspire hope, increase engagement in treatment and community, and support consumers in developing wellness, recovery resiliency, and self-advocacy. Opportunity to work with consumers in a variety of settings throughout the New River Valley Engaging with an interdisciplinary team focused on supporting clients in their recovery Collaborating with community stakeholders such as the Department of Social Services in assisting families in our community Growing and developing your professional identity through SAFE and the wonderful Peer Community at NRVCS

Starting Hourly Rate: $16.26-Depending on Experience

 

Education Requirements:

High School Diploma is required

Additional compensation will be considered for any new employees who speak multiple languages
