Position directly reports to Dr. Rachel Whelan within the Department of Otolaryngology, Division of Pediatric Otolaryngology at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh
o Seeking a motivated, capable nurse for a hybrid clinical research position studying children and adolescents with obstructive sleep apnea. Job will include creating/maintaining an electronic patient database as well as direct patient care during a specialty sleep clinic. Ideal applicant will have excellent organizational skills, enjoy working in teams, and have some degree of research and clinical experience.
o Must attend in-person clinic every other Wednesday at CHP North location, other days more flexible to accommodate a remote workday.
Supports clinical research projects by coordinating projects and drug trials, assessing patients' qualifications, and facilitating protocols. Collects and reviews lab results, patient data, and lab specimens; administers medications and protocol-specific treatments. Performs general laboratory duties and specialized nursing duties, trains new staff, and ensures regulatory adherence.
