This is a full time, non-exempt position.
Position Summary:
The Payroll Specialist will play a critical role in ADM’s Corporate Payroll team. In this fast paced, customer service driven environment, the Payroll Specialist will interact with a diverse workforce including colleagues and management with top level visibility. In line with ADM’s core values, a successful candidate will demonstrate dedication to confidentiality and operational excellence with a focus on the customer. The individual in this role will gain valuable knowledge, skills and experience in an area of Payroll that interacts daily with colleagues and management from all levels of the organization. Excellent customer service is a must for this role as you direct and advise on personnel decisions of colleagues professional lives.
Job Responsibilities:Process US and Canadian hourly payroll, with accuracy and timelinessApply complex problem-solving skills to remediate any processing errorsApply discretion in decision-making for maintaining compliance as well as a high level of customer serviceCommunicate effectively with local management teams to ensure accurate payroll processingApproach process and system with a continuous improvement mindsetMaintain data compliantly and securelyComplete balancing with accuracy for W2 and T4 processingConsistently review employee status and update as neededEnsure accurate process documentation inclusive of manuals and SOP’sProvide guidance and support to ADM employees timely, accurately and professionallyCollaborate with management and other departments across the organization for top notch customer serviceJob Requirements:Minimum of three years of general office/accounting experience; payroll experience preferredAssociate’s/Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experienceIntermediate understanding of accounting/mathematical procedures is requiredAbility to work independently as well as in a team environmentStrong strategic thinking and a firm attention to detail are a mustExcellent communication skills in writing and speaking formsKnowledge of ADM business units/structure preferredSuperior attention to detail with the ability to locate discrepanciesMotivation to be innovative with a continuous improvement mindsetExceptional customer service, organization and time management skillsSpecial projects may be given to help support management metricsAbility to set goals, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks to meet deadlinesComfortable making quick/calculated decisionsKnowledge of IBM (CICS & IMS) and MDM systemsMust be proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and OutlookMust be able to hear and speak clearly; read, comprehend and communicate, orally and in writing in order to effectively communicate in person or by phonePhysical requirements include standing, filing, bending, sitting for extended periods of time and working on the telephoneExcited about this role but don’t think you meet every requirement listed?
