Description We are in the process of recruiting a Payroll Specialist for our team located in Baltimore, Maryland. As a Payroll Specialist, you will be tasked with managing payroll reports, handling leave reconciliations, assisting with employee separation activities, This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity. Responsibilities: • Manage end-of-pay-period reports to facilitate payroll close activities. • Communicate effectively with various departmental approvers who have yet to approve their unit's time at payroll close. • Handle retro payroll requests for previous pay periods. • Monitor daily payroll items submitted by employees. • Assist with the reconciliation of leave and other timesheet-related issues. • Provide support for accurate vacation leave payout during employee separation. • Assist in employee separation activities, ensuring all relevant items for the separation packet are prepared. Requirements • Applicants must possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in a Payroll Specialist role or similar. • Proficiency in payroll-related tasks is a must. • Knowledge of Timekeeping Systems is required. • Able to effectively manage leave requests. • Should offer administrative assistance when necessary. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required. • Must have experience in Year-end Payroll processing.
