Payroll Specialist

Your main mission will be: Reporting to the Payroll Manager, the ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing the outsourced payroll process, ensuring compliance with legal regulations and internal policies. Additionally, the specialist provides administrative support on Human Resources issues, such as benefits management, employee record keeping, and support on department projects.

Your main functions will be:

Outsourced Payroll Coordination:

Act as primary liaison with the external payroll vendor to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.Review payroll reports provided by vendor to verify accuracy in calculation of wages, overtime, deductions, and taxes.Ensure accuracy of amounts for: payroll, advance, garnishment, etc., sent by Atisa to the Treasury department for payment to our employees.Coordinate and manage communication of payroll changes, such as hires, terminates, position changes, and salary adjustments.Resolve payment discrepancies and respond to payroll-related queries from auditors.Advise group companies on payroll, contributions and taxation. As well as act as support in those areas where auditors lack certain skills. Daily connection and communication with Atisa.

Human Resources Administration:

Maintain and update employee records, ensuring correct data integration with the payroll provider.Support in the management of employee benefits, including enrollment, updates and general queries.Collaborate in the management of Human Resources policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with internal and external regulations.Coordinate visits to hotels, when necessary.

Reporting and Compliance:

Review and prepare payroll reports in collaboration with the external provider for the financial and human resources department.Coordinate the collection and preparation of reports related to taxes, withholdings and other fiscal obligations.Participate in internal and external audits related to payroll and human resources, in collaboration with the provider.Ensure compliance with SOX implications in everything related to the payroll process.Follow-up on compliance with the different personnel policies developed by your management.

Administrative Support:

Support in the coordination and organization of employee training and development programs.Collaborate in the implementation of continuous improvement projects related to payroll management, vacation management and human resources.Support the management area and the rest of the team in all assigned tasks, as well as act as a backup when necessary and in the absence of these.Prepare and ensure the validity of the information in the reports requested by Corporate concerning the area, such as reports of any type requested by other departments of the assigned companies/hotels.
