Description Growing New York City organization is currently seeking a Payroll Specialist. The job function revolves around processing payroll for a large number of employees and maintaining accurate records. The selected candidate will be an integral part of the payroll team, handling critical tasks related to our payroll system. Responsibilities: • Manage and execute payroll operations • Oversee payroll processing for over 500+ employees • Collaborate with a team of three other payroll specialists and a manager • Ensure accuracy and integrity of all payroll related data • Handle payroll related inquiries and resolve any discrepancies • Monitor and update employee payroll records as necessary • Take appropriate action for any anomalies detected in customer accounts Requirements • Must have at least 1 year of experience working as a Payroll Specialist or in a similar role • Experience in managing payroll for over 500 employees is mandatory • Strong understanding of payroll and payroll tax laws • Excellent mathematical and numerical skills • High attention to detail and accuracy • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion • Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines • Good communication skills to liaise with employees and management regarding payroll-related queries • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, is beneficial Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
