Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Payroll Specialist in the Healthcare/NHS industry, based in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, United States. As a Payroll Specialist, you will be tasked with managing payroll for a large team, handling both salary and hourly payments, and ensuring compliance with multi-state tax laws. You will also play a crucial role in migrating to the UKG Pro system, starting in June. Responsibilities: • Oversee payroll operations for approximately 900 employees • Ensure accurate and timely weekly payroll computations • Prepare and reconcile journal entries • Handle payroll tax duties as per the regulatory guidelines in different states • Assist in the migration to the UKG Pro system • Maintain and update salary structures as per the company policies • Perform auditing and accounting functions as needed • Manage benefit functions and certified payroll requirements • Utilize accounting software systems for efficient payroll operations. Requirements • Proficiency with Accounting Software Systems is necessary. • Must demonstrate a thorough understanding of Accounting Functions. • Experience with Auditing is required. • Knowledge of Benefit Functions is essential. • Familiarity with UKG Pro would be advantageous. • Experience with Multi-state Payroll is mandatory. • Understanding of various Salary Structures is needed. • Certification in Payroll is desired. • Must have a comprehensive knowledge of Payroll Tax.
