Payroll Specialist
Job Title: Payroll Specialist

Job Description

Administer payroll processes in coordination with an external payroll service provider. Ensure timely and accurate processing of base pay, commissions, bonuses, and supplemental payments such as child support, loan repayments, and garnishments. Collect and validate payroll data, perform calculations, and resolve discrepancies. Maintain and update payroll master files while ensuring confidentiality. Transmit payroll data and distribute checks to local Payroll Administrators. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local tax regulations. Process payroll transactions related to promotions, transfers, new hires, wage adjustments, terminations, and benefit deductions. Review and approve monthly invoices from staffing agencies. Provide support and troubleshooting for UKG payroll and self-service tools.

ResponsibilitiesAdminister and coordinate payroll processes with an external payroll service provider.Ensure accurate and timely processing of various payroll components including base pay, commissions, and bonuses.Collect, validate, and perform calculations on payroll data, resolving any discrepancies.Maintain and update payroll master files while ensuring data confidentiality.Transmit payroll data and distribute payroll checks to local Payroll Administrators.Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.Process transactions related to promotions, transfers, new hires, and other employment changes.Review and approve monthly invoices from staffing agencies.Provide support and troubleshoot issues with UKG payroll and self-service tools.Essential SkillsExperience with payroll processing and payroll tax.Proficiency in using UKG software.Ability to handle payroll for 300+ employees.Knowledge in HR, payroll accounting, bonuses, and commissions.Experience with multi-state payroll and handling discrepancies.Additional Skills & QualificationsDiploma required.5+ years of experience in payroll.Understanding of HR processes, benefits, payroll administration, and leave administration is advantageous.
Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $70000.00/yr.
