We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to process multi-state payroll for union and non-union employees. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and work closely with HR and finance departments to maintain seamless payroll operations.
Responsibilities
+ Process multi-state payroll for union and non-union employees, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
+ Manage all payroll accounting journal entries, including deductions, wage garnishments, tax withholdings, and associated entries.
+ Submit monthly union payroll reports and labor pricing reports.
+ Reconcile payroll accounts and entries, correcting errors to ensure accuracy.
+ Maintain accurate payroll records and documentation.
+ Respond to payroll-related inquiries and resolve issues promptly.
+ Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws.
+ Collaborate with HR and finance departments to ensure seamless payroll operations.
Essential Skills
+ Minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll processing, including multi-state payroll for union and non-union employees.
+ Strong understanding of payroll accounting principles and practices.
+ Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Excel.
+ Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
+ Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot payroll issues.
+ Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in a manufacturing or construction environment.
+ Familiarity with union payroll reporting requirements.
+ Knowledge of labor pricing and reconciliation processes.
+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
Work Environment
This is an onsite position, partnering with multiple departments at any given time. We are looking for an individual who can be an asset to the rest of the organization. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $55000.00 - $75000.00/yr.
