Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Payroll Specialist in Carrollton, Texas. As part of our team, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to payroll processing, including the calculation, preparation, and validation of payments. You will also be tasked with maintaining employee records, responding to inquiries, and ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations. Responsibilities: • Accurately process customer credit applications in a timely and efficient manner. • Maintain comprehensive and accurate customer credit records. • Coordinate with various entities such as departments, banks, and software companies to design, test, and implement integrations between Infor HRT and WFM with third-party systems. • Ensure the proper operation and maintenance of Infor HR Talent and Infor WFM Software integrations, reviewing and verifying that data is integrated without errors. • Address and resolve employee inquiries related to payroll in an effective and detail-oriented manner. • Conduct training sessions on automated pay and time and attendance systems. • Ensure the annual maintenance of Infor HR Talent and Timekeeping software, including updates related to timecard pay periods and holidays. • Prepare and process monthly, quarterly, and annual reports in accordance with State and Federal government rules and regulations. • Ensure timely and accurate tax deposits through the EFTPS system and produce accurate W-2 forms in compliance with IRS deadlines, state and federal laws, and Social Security Administration regulations. • Handle ACH and WIRE banking transactions related to payroll, including direct deposit and retirement program deduction reporting. • Reconcile City payroll liability accounts and ensure the accuracy of payroll general ledger entries. • Prepare correcting payroll general ledger journal entries for approval by the Senior Accountant. • Provide information related to the annual audit and accruals as part of the Accounting Division year-end processes. Requirements • Position requires a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Payroll Specialist or in a similar role. • Proficient knowledge of Ceridian and Lawson payroll systems is necessary. • Familiarity with Lawson HRIS is a must. • Experience with 403B Plans is desirable. • Knowledge and understanding of Infor M3 is beneficial. • Ability to manage Full Cycle Payroll is required. • Strong expertise in Payroll, including Garnishments and In-House operations, is essential. • Experience with Manual Payroll is preferred. • A deep understanding of Payroll Law is necessary. • Proficiency in using different Payroll software is a key requirement. • Should be able to handle Payroll Transactions effectively. • Experience in Processing Payroll is mandatory. • Ability to Reconcile Payroll is required. • Knowledge of Special Payroll Deductions is an added advantage. • Capable of handling Weekly Payroll efficiently.
