Description
We are looking for an experienced Payroll Manager to join our team on a contract basis in Minnesota. This role requires expertise in managing complex payroll operations, including multi-state payroll and handling multiple FEINs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Workday payroll systems and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee and process weekly payroll for approximately 1,800 employees, with a majority being hourly staff.
• Manage payroll operations across multiple states and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
• Handle payroll for five separate FEINs with accuracy and efficiency.
• Utilize Workday Payroll to execute full-cycle payroll processes, including benefits and tax calculations.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless payroll processing and resolve any discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure timely reporting to meet organizational and legal requirements.
• Provide cross-training support to team members to ensure smooth operations during transitions.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance payroll accuracy and efficiency.
• Address employee payroll inquiries and ensure a high level of customer service.
Requirements
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll management, with a focus on multi-state operations.
• Proficiency in Workday Payroll and familiarity with full-cycle payroll processes.
• Experience handling payroll for over 500 employees, including benefits and tax calculations.
• Strong knowledge of multi-state payroll regulations and compliance requirements.
• Ability to manage payroll for multiple FEINs with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, complex environment.
• Strong communication skills to effectively address employee inquiries and collaborate with internal teams.
