As the Payroll Lead, you will be required to be a subject matter expert (SME) in all areas of payroll processing. You will be required to analyze and respond to complex issues that require comprehensive knowledge of payroll activities. As the SME, you will be expected to upskill and develop colleagues through training delivery and coaching to enable them to fulfill their role. In this role you will be responsible for supporting the Sales process including sharing current payroll practices, legislation requirements and other key information to support the Sales life cycle. The Payroll Lead is expected to partner with the technical team and maintain the country solutions.
Key responsibilities:
Ability to support and process payroll from end to end according to the defined standards and client requirements including all associated payroll tasks and transactionsEnsure that the Payroll calendar is followed, and any deviation is dealt with via the appropriate change control processAbility to utilize the hrX suite of tools as it relates to payroll processing and all associated activitiesUndertake, support and manage a Root Cause Analysis (RCA) when an issue occurs resulting in a client escalation ensuring that mitigating actions are implementedPro-actively identify upsell opportunities and support the Change Request process when deviations from the contractually defined standard scope of service are identified. This may include but is not limited to, estimating and implementing changesUnderstand standard, and client specific payroll reports including statutory year end reporting needs as required by the customer contract and scope of serviceMaintains current knowledge of legislation requirements; system updates, changes and overall payroll procedures while managing the payroll legislation road mapAnswer payroll related questions and requests from the team and from clients; supporting the Operations Manager with client engagement activitiesUpdate, maintain and enforce the usage of the Defined Work Instructions (DWIs)and other process documentationSupport of the sales life cycle including payroll practices and legislation requirementsAbility to recognize and deal appropriately with sensitive and confidential informationAbility to resolve and support technical and functional issues escalated from other team members and clientsSupport and maintain the country solution and provision functional support as neededEnsure compliant use of all systemsSupport technical issue coordination and resolutionMaintain the client solution and provision functional support as neededRecommend or participate in innovation activities to drive continuous improvementSupport project implementations and go-livesUpskill and develop colleagues through training delivery and coaching to enable them to fulfil their roleParticipates in projects as needed and assignedWe offer you a competitive total rewards package, continuing education & training, and tremendous potential with a growing worldwide organization.
