Job Description
We are seeking a highly knowledgeable Payroll Clerk or Payroll Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive payroll experience beyond the basic clerk level, with proficiency in handling payroll for a large organization. The position requires strong knowledge of Paylocity and Workday systems, as well as advanced Excel skills. This role involves processing payroll for approximately 1400 employees and overseeing the entire payroll process for multiple business units.
ResponsibilitiesProcess payroll for 1400 employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.Handle overall payroll processing for 12 business units, each submitting their own payroll data.Utilize Paylocity for current payroll processing, transitioning to Workday in the near future.Manage payroll on a bi-monthly basis, with payrolls processed on the 15th and the last day of each month.Ensure compliance with multistate payroll laws and regulations.Provide support and potentially stay on permanently if the payroll department remains understaffed.Essential SkillsExtensive payroll experience beyond the clerk level.Proficiency in Paylocity and Workday systems.Strong Excel skills.Experience with multistate payroll laws.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience managing payroll for a large organization.Ability to handle payroll for multiple business units.Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.Work Environment
The position involves working with Paylocity and transitioning to Workday over the next few months. The payroll is processed twice a month, on the 15th and the last day of the month. The role may require handling payroll for employees across multiple states, ensuring compliance with different state laws. The payroll department has felt understaffed, so there is a possibility of the role becoming permanent. The work environment is dynamic and requires a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $40.00/hr.
