Description We are in search of a Payroll Clerk to join our team in the construction/contractor industry based in Norton, Ohio, United States. In this role, you will deal with various administrative tasks, such as preparing and entering weekly payroll, processing time off requests, maintaining credit card receipts, and answering incoming calls as required. This role offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity.
Responsibilities
• Ensure accurate and timely preparation and entry of weekly payroll for Delivery Drivers and Fab Shop employees.
• Manage time off/vacation requests specifically for the Fabrication Shop.
• Liaise with the VP of Fabrication and Warehousing, providing them with hard copies of payroll printouts for review and approval, making adjustments as necessary.
• Monitor and maintain credit card receipts, reconciling delivery driver’s company credit cards.
• Handle incoming fabrication and material calls as needed, providing assistance where necessary.
• Compile and enter data for the weekly 52 Week Report, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Post all necessary information on the Fab Shop monitor, ensuring clear and up-to-date communication.
• Assist the VP Fabrication and Warehousing, Fab Shop Manager, and/or Fab Shop Supervisors with any additional duties.
• Perform general clerical duties encompassing photocopying, faxing, mailing, filing, and scheduling appointments.
• Serve as a liaison to the cleaning staff, ensuring a clean and organized working environment.
• Manage office supplies for the Fabrication Shop, placing orders as necessary. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within the construction/contractor industry
• Proficient in auditing tasks related to payroll and financial transactions
• Demonstrable experience with time keeping for accurate payroll processing
• Skilled in handling, processing, and reconciling credit card receipts
• Proven ability to perform credit card reconciliation to ensure financial accuracy
• Solid understanding of credit cards processing, including payments and disputes
• Hands-on experience with payroll systems, ensuring accurate and timely payroll
• Excellent attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and data entry skills.
