Hourly rate: $25.94 - $29.42
Position Summary:
Full-time Payroll Assistant position available immediately for our Payroll Department in Seattle. Candidate will be collaborating with the Human Resources department. The Payroll Assistant works under the direction of the Payroll Manager and performs payroll-related duties and responsibilities. Ideal candidate must possess the ability to compose correspondence in a professional manner and must have solid customer service and interpersonal skills either on the phone, email, or through direct interaction with employees. Knowledge of current SAGE 300 system and KRONOS highly preferred. Candidates must have previous payroll experience, preferably 3-5 years.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Review and process of payroll data each pay cycleReview payroll data for accuracy and completionProcess voluntary payroll deductionsProcess employee terminations/separationsAbility to work with minimum supervision, use good judgment a must.Confidentiality and prioritization workload firmly required.Process other clerical duties as requestedMust be able to work with minimal supervision, use good judgment, maintain confidentiality, andprioritize workload
Qualifications and Education:
Associates degree or equivalent work experienceMust have excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to compile, interpret and use information; communicate effectively with people of all backgrounds and educational levelsMust be able to work with minimum supervision, use good judgment, meet deadlines and prioritizeMust be able to maintain confidentialityMust be well organized and have good attention to detailMust be able to maintain professionalism and appropriate boundaries in all interactionsMust be efficient and accurate with data entry into accounting, payroll and HR softwareapplicationsMust have intermediate computer skills and ability to learn entry data into multiple applicationsMust have intermediate or data entry 10-key skillsRequires three to five years of related experience in payroll, bookkeeping, and or accountingBilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required.
