To administer the payroll service delivery for my clients staff complement of 140 average staff

Key Job Functions
Payroll Administration
Responsible for overall salary payments 3rd party and statutory payments SARS UIF SDL
Responsible for the calculation & payment of salary for international employees & to ensure that this employee&rsquos salary and all related charges are charged to the correct international entities
Attending to salary rejections on a continuous ongoing basis with the company&rsquos bankers
Responsible for salary structuring in accordance with relevant legislation
Analysing & reviewing of the monthly payroll movements to identify any significant changes &ndash Audit and process any changes effectively actual VS forecast
Responsible for the annual calculation of Merit increases & bonuses adhoc and regular bonuses timeously & correctly with in the specified time period
Maintain internal controls relevant to salaries processes identify weaknesses and implement corrective action
Assist with payrollrelated Audits exercise
Assistance with monthly salary forecasts and reconciliation to salary actuals to identify and correct variances
Administer leave and resolve related queries
Ensure adherence to legal and policy requirements regarding payroll practices
Configuration of the payroll software to suit our requirements and according to the Income Tax Act
Loading of all Employee Masterfile Information
Loading of all Tax Yearto date figures
Confirmation of all loan / garnishee balances on the payroll
Preparation of a payroll according to the input supplied including the processing of loans bonuses advances if applicable and overtime and ensuring accuracy thereof
Maintenance of records regarding the employees Retirement Funding Income in order to apply the correct limits on employees&rsquo IRP5s
Provision of electronic reports for the signoff and approval of the payroll by management
Creation of an electronic file for the transfer of employee&rsquos net salaries as well as uploading thereof on the banking system for release by the necessary parties and ensuring accuracy thereof
Submission of the electronic UIF declaration file to the Commissioner for the maintenance of employees UIF records and ensuring accuracy thereof
Preparation of a payment schedule providing the detail of all statutory payments including PAYE UIF and SDL and ensuring accuracy thereof
Uploading of payslip file to ESS the day before payment
Provision of an electronic file to import into your general ledger
The payment of all statutory amounts including PAYE SDL and UIF amounts as well as the completion of all returns including the EMP201
Provision of Employment Equity Reports when required
Preparation of the electronic IRP5 and IT3a file for submission to SARS
Uploading of file to ESS to generate IRP5 and IT3a certificates for all employees
Preparation of PAYE/SITE reconciliation and the EMP501 return for submission to SARS
Completion of the Occupational Injuries & Diseases OID return
Customisation of payslips and reports according to the specifications necessary
Ensuring that the information as loaded on the payroll system is signed off by all the necessary stakeholders prior to commencing with the first live run

Reporting and Systems Management
Provide relevant monthly payroll reports salaries Leave Liability report leave balance reports Tax recon reports for expatriates and other adhoc reports as and when required
Manage and maintain the payroll information system
Assist with the compilation of the Employment Equity reports
Provide payroll related reports for Salary Survey exercise ie completing salary datasheets and questionnaires for local or international surveys

Communication
Updating staff on changes regarding Personal Tax legislation
Ensure that salary practices are in compliant to all statutory requirements eg SARS labour legislation employment equity pension funds Act etc
Ensuring salary protocol is adhered to by employees

Key Job Requirements
Relevant qualification in either HR Payroll Finance or related field with a minimum of 4 years&rsquo experience in payroll and compensation administration
Knowledge of South African Labour Law both legislative and statutory regulations
Knowledge of South African Tax Law and financial accounting principles
PC Literacy with strong knowledge and background of VIP system Ms Office strong internet and web search skills
Exposure to expatriate payroll will be an added advantage
A peoples person with good attention to detail and reporting skills
Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to deal with people at all levels
Influencing and decision making skills are essential
Ability to work independently and solve problems with own initiative
Must be results orientated and have the ability to bring closure and produce outcomes
Should demonstrate ability to run with a variety of tasks simultaneously multitasking and the ability to work well under pressure
