**Job Description**
The primary purpose of this position is to provide various payment services for the university. These services include coordinating the ISRS/Workday Checkwriter/Settlements program and distributing checks or creating direct deposit files produced by the accounts payable, accounts receivable, and student payroll modules. These services also include performing various audits of purchasing card reconciliations, accounts payable forms, and employee business expense reimbursements. The position will also serve as administrative support to the office and provide customer service to incoming clientele.
**Minimum Qualifications**
+ Specialized administrative and accounting skills sufficient to serve customers well and keep accurate accounting records.
+ Knowledge of communications sufficient to fluently communicate, read, understand, and respond to a variety of communications, such as customers’ questions, requisitions, purchase orders, detailed instructions and procedures, inventory records, and distribution lists. Ability to communicate effectively and relay information to campus community with tact and diplomacy.
+ Ability to interpret and explain accounting and related fiscal policies, procedures, and practices to customer. and develop, prepare, and explain clear, concise reconciliations, and fiscal reports.
+ Knowledge of word processing sufficient to prepare, edit, and finalize emails, memos, reports, and/or other documents and types of written communication that are grammatically correct, in proper format, and free of spelling errors.
+ Knowledge of standard computer software programs for word processing, spreadsheets, and databases sufficient to create, modify, and protect files.

+ Demonstrated commitment to fostering a diverse working and learning environment.
+ Experience working in a public college or university accounting department.
+ Knowledge of the state’s accounting system sufficient to input and access information in computer systems and identify and adjust for potential problems.
+ Knowledge and familiarity with Federal, State, and MinnState system accounting policies and procedures.
+ Knowledge of office procedures, methods, equipment, and a variety of financial software products.
**Other Requirements**
Work safely at all times, which includes but is not limited to, participating in and completing all required safety trainings, as well as performing all job tasks in accordance with Minnesota State University, Mankato policies and procedures utilizing appropriate tools, equipment and personal protective equipment.
