**A Brief Overview**
Accountable for payer contract maintenance, processing and analytic activities. This position is an interface position between Managed Care/ACO Operations and Avera provider entities. This position also supports Managed Care/ACO leadership in payer relations, contract negotiation preparation and planning and education, reporting and process improvement with internal and external stakeholders.
**What you will do**
+ Responsible for evaluating, educating and communicating commercial and government payer updates for billing, coding and credentialing to stakeholders at Avera. Serves as key point of contact and project lead for implementing changes and process improvement on behalf of department.
+ Oversee contracts through their life cycle and ensure contract renewals or terminations occur within established timeframes.
+ Assess and review risks and opportunities across Avera related to payer contracting, delegated credentialing of business issues that may impact organizational results and develop plans to address such issues.
+ Responsible for development of educational materials to support socialization of payer statistics, trends and operational requirements to Avera
+ Assist department leadership in coordination of regular meetings with payer and networks and develops best practices to identify and trend issues and variances about target from payer performance reports.
+ Serves as department lead for meeting payer and government reporting deadlines for quarterly rosters, credentialing audits and organizational roster updates.

**Required Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience:**
+ Associate's in business, economics, management, accounting or related field; or a minimum of 5 years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
+ 4-6 years experience in revenue cycle, insurance or related field.
