Under the supervision of an RN, provides continual observation of assigned patients to ensure their safe environment and quickly identify potential safety concerns for those patients. Reports to: Staffing Coordinator Performs assigned non-clinical tasks contained in the plan of care and as assigned by the RN. Drag Edit Delete Reports pertinent changes in patient’s status to Primary Nurse and/or Charge Nurse to include but not limited to changes in patients mental status/behavior, overall appearance, safety risks and requests for services that are not currently being provided if appropriate. Drag Edit Delete Promotes patients’ physical and mental wellbeing through appropriate patient communication. Maintain good rapport with primary caregiver Drag Edit Delete Reports any environmental concerns to the RN as needed. Drag Edit Delete Completes and submits required documentation Drag Edit Delete Participate in quality improvement and infection control activities as appropriate to patient assignment. Drag Edit Delete Completed all required education, including Handle With Care class, in accordance with policy.
