As a Patient Services Coordinator, you'll perform a variety of clerical duties for physicians and clinic staff. Our ideal candidate is passionate about patient care, has experience in a clinical setting, and possesses strong communication and collaboration skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Greet, instruct, direct, and schedule patients and visitors.

Retrieve insurance and patient information, provide forms for tests or interoffice communications, and secure signatures as needed.

Enter new and established patient information into the computer.

Answer incoming calls, schedule appointments for patients, and dispatch messages and/or calls appropriately.

Perform patient care activities within the scope of data entry/processing and patient account functions.

Collect payments, answer questions regarding insurance claims, obtaining disability insurance benefits, home health care, medical equipment, surgical care, medical records, and patient referrals.

Communicate with patients, families, visitors, and associates in a caring, friendly, personal, and professional manner.

Perform related duties as assigned.
 

Education and/or Experience Qualifications:

Education necessary to communicate effectively in written and verbal form.

Knowledge of business office procedures, medical terminology, and insurance procedures beneficial.

Must have computer knowledge, typing skills, and knowledge of basic math.

One year experience in a clinic setting beneficial or two years in a public contact position.

CPR certification beneficial.

Additional Qualifications:

Skill in greeting patients and answering the telephone in a pleasant and helpful manner.

Ability to sort, read, understand, and follow written and oral instructions.

Ability to sort and file materials correctly by alphabetical, numerical, or color-coded systems.

Must display initiative and willingness to accept additional duties in the front office area during absences and adapt to fluctuating workload.

Must be able to communicate clearly and establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, staff, and the public.
