Patient Service Representative - Call Center **Grand River Medical Group** 1 Positions ID: 1432013 Posted On 02/19/2025 **Job Overview** **Patient Service Representative** Position for the Call Center located within the Multi-Specialty Clinic Grand River Medical Group is seeking a Patient Service Representative in our call center. These duties include scheduling appointments, verifying patient demographics and insurance, and answering telephone calls. The ideal candidate will provide a high-quality customer experience while maintaining a friendly and positive environment. Excellent verbal and written communication and customer service skills are essential. They will also display self-motivation while able to work independently and as part of a team. As a Patient Service Representative, you will need the ability to use office equipment such as computers, telephones, and fax and copier machines. You will become knowledgeable of the patient scheduling program and electronic medical record. **This is a full-time position, Monday-Friday** **with no evening or weekend requirements.** **Duties include but are not limited to:** + Answering incoming calls from patients, pharmacies, care facilities, and other providers or clinics. Our call centers answeron average 800-1,000 calls per day. + Assisting or directing incoming calls appropriately. + Provide clear and accurate communication to clinical staff about patient needs, concerns or requests. + Schedule and confirm patient appointments, cancelations, check-ups and physician referrals. + Review, update, or obtain patient information making necessary changes to ensure correct billing and enter demographics into system. Verify insurance information/status. + Schedule/cancel appointments for patients; ensure that all procedures are properly scheduled in the computer system and protocols are followed. Complete schedule maintenance as directed. **Education/Experience/Skills:** + Ability to provide a high-quality customer experience with each interaction. + Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. + Friendly, empathetic, and accountable. + High school diploma or general education degree (GED). + Three months to one year similar or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. + Ability to use office equipment, such as computer, telephone, fax, copier, calculator. + Knowledge of patient scheduling program and electronic medical record. **We offer:** A competitive hourly wage plus a very attractive benefits package including vacation, generous company provided benefits, and much more.
