When you join MSK as a Patient Financial Navigator, you will have the exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team that acts as the hub of interaction between clinicians, patients, and Patient Financial Services. At your assigned site, you will serve as the main resource from Patient Financial Services for coordinating financial and insurance related matters between clinical teams and patients.
Role Overview:
Work closely with clinical teams and provide high quality financial services assistance to patients based on their needs and those of the cliniciansDedicatedly obtain precertification for scheduled services requiring insurance authorization and review and input demographic, financial and insurance information into Center systemAdvise patients of their insurance benefits and explain hospital financial policiesIdentify process improvement opportunities in all areas of Patient Financial Services and offer recommendations to managementKey Qualifications:
2-3 years of healthcare experienceThird party insurance experience and/or direct patient, customer service experience is a strong value addCore Skills:
An effective communicator.Flexible in your approach and demeanor in order to align with the shifting demands of evolving circumstances.ability to work independently.Additional Information:
