Patient Care Tech

Patient Care Techs play a vital role in supporting both the clinical team and patients, offering personalized attention and assistance throughout their healthcare journey.

Job Description:
Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or other licensed care team member, the Patient Care Tech provides direct patient care and support, assisting with daily activities and routine procedures, including:

Assisting patients with personal hygiene, mobility, and nutritional needs.Monitoring and recording vital signs and patient intake/output.Preparing patients for medical procedures and assisting healthcare providers.Responding promptly to patient calls and ensuring comfort and safety.Maintaining cleanliness and organization of patient rooms and equipment.Supporting patient admissions, transfers, and discharges.Ensuring compliance with patient safety protocols and hospital policies.

Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED.No prior experience required; training provided.Current KY Nurse Aide Certification or completion of the first year of a nursing program with validated clinical rotation.Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within six months of hire.Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
