Patient Care Supervisor - Neuro Endovascular

Founded in 1906, McLeod Health is a locally owned and managed, not for profit organization supported by the strength of more than 900 members on its medical staff and more than 2,900 licensed nurses. McLeod Health is also composed of approximately 15,000 team members and more than 90 physician practices throughout its 18-county service area. With seven hospitals, McLeod Health operates three Health and Fitness Centers, a Sports Medicine and Outpatient Rehabilitation Center, Hospice and Home Health Services. The system currently has 988 licensed beds, including Hospice and Behavioral Health. The hospitals within McLeod Health include: McLeod Regional Medical Center, McLeod Health Dillon, McLeod Health Loris, McLeod Health Seacoast, McLeod Health Cheraw, McLeod Health Clarendon and McLeod Behavioral Health.  

1.    Maintains a professional image and exhibits excellent customer relations to patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers in accordance with our Service Excellence Standards and Core Values.
2.    Shall demonstrate leadership and commitment with respect to the quality management system by:
(a)  promoting the use of the process approach and risk-based thinking;
(b)  engaging, directing and supporting persons to contribute to the effectiveness of the quality management system requirements;
(c)  promoting improvement.
3.    Assesses needs of patients as assigned based on data collected through history, observation, physical examination and analysis of diagnostic data.
4.    Plans individualized nursing care to meet the holistic age specific needs of patients.
5.    Provides appropriate nursing interventions, consistent with the Plan of Care and standards of practice, incorporating the Physician's prescribed medical plans of care.
6.    Using service excellence standards, conducts Hourly Rounds.  Supports and validates hourly rounds.
7.    Promotes interdepartmental and collaborative relationships.  Fosters an environment that demonstrates caring, compassion, and respect for all patients, families and visitors.
8.    Utilizes standard work in caring for central lines, foley catheters, pressure ulcers, ventilators (if applicable to unit), restraints and patients at risk for falls.
9.    Contributes to the daily efficient performance of the department, as charge nurse when assigned.
10.    Contributes to the department growth and performance through hospital-system initiatives cultivating nursing involved Evidence Based Practices.
11.    Demonstrates continued professional growth through setting goals and participating in educational offerings.
12.    Competently manages employee related complaints, issues and concerns to optimize the work environment. 
13.    Supervise, utilize, and ensure use of appropriate health and safety equipment to protect both patient and staff.
14.    Ensures compliance with established unit standards, policies, specific standards of care, and coordinating patient care activities for the assigned shift.
15.    Performs Patient Care Management duties in maintaining an organized workflow and open communication including: development and evaluation, Performance Improvement, staffing patterns during assigned shift.
16.    Participates in managing fiscal responsibility of the unit. 

Qualification/Training:
•    Zero to less than 1 year of related work experience.

Licenses/Certifications/Registrations/Education
•    ADN 
•    An active Registered Nursing License verified by the LLR
•    BLS (Required for ALL nurses), Advanced Resuscitative Certification
