NuVasive Clinical Services, a subsidiary of Globus Medical Inc., is a leading provider of intraoperative neuromonitoring (IOM) services to surgeons and healthcare facilities. IOM technology gives those in the operating room real-time insight into the nervous system, which can help surgeons reduce surgical risk by providing critical information and alerts throughout the procedure.

Essential Functions:

Obtain needed and /or corrected information by contacting the patient, physician’s office, hospital, next of kin, insurance carrier, etcVerifies all patient information uploaded is accurateActivate and bill patients within the billing systemAssist patients in the resolution of outstanding accounts, including processing payments by phone, setting up payment plans, and filing appealsFollows-up with payers, patients, and other appropriate parties to collect open billings in a timely mannerResponds to inquiries from customers or external collection resourcesPlaces calls and sends messages to those with unresolved issuesIdentifies and reports to management any payer issues with regards to billing and collectionsUnderstands and maintains all governmental, regulatory and company billing and compliance regulations and policies for payersPerforms other duties as assignedAdheres to the letter and spirit of the company Code of Conduct, the AdvaMed Code, MedTech Code, and all other company policiesEnsures Compliance with applicable governmental laws, rules, and regulations, both in the United States and internationally, by completing introductory and annual training and maintaining knowledge of compliance as it applies to your roleRepresents the company in a professional manner and uphold the highest standards of ethical business practices and socially responsible conduct in all interactions with other employees, customers, suppliers, and other third parties

Qualifications:

Typically requires a minimum of 1-2 years of related experienceHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredHigh level of quality awareness, accuracy, and attention to detailStrong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skillsData-oriented with basic proficiency in MS Office Applications, strong analytical skills, and the ability to create detailed reportsSense of urgency and customer-oriented mindset with understanding of Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) compliance and Protected Health Information (PHI)Ability to work independently, multitask and handle various priorities in a fast-paced environmentEffective verbal and written communication skills
