Work closely with patients to resolve billing and payment issuesResearch and resolve discrepancies on patient accountsProcess payments and refundsReview and update patient insurance informationCommunicate with insurance companies to obtain prior authorizations and verify coverageFollow up on unpaid claims and denialsMaintain accurate and up-to-date patient account informationProvide excellent customer service to patients and healthcare providersCollaborate with other departments to improve processes and ensure timely reimbursementMaintain knowledge of current insurance regulations and coding requirements
Patient Account Representative Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred1-2 years of experience in medical billing and collectionsKnowledge of medical billing and coding, insurance regulations, and healthcare reimbursement policiesStrong attention to detail and ability to work independentlyExcellent communication and customer service skillsProficient in Microsoft Office and other computer programsAbility to multi-task and meet deadlines

Founded in 1990, U.S. Physical Therapy, Inc. operates over 660 outpatient physical therapy clinics in 41 states. The Company's clinics provide preventative and post-operative care for various orthopedic-related disorders and sports-related injuries, treatment for neurologically related injuries, and rehabilitation of injured workers. In addition to owning and operating clinics, the Company manages about 40 physical therapy facilities for unaffiliated third parties, including hospitals and physician groups. The Company also has an industrial injury prevention business that provides onsite services for client's employees, including injury prevention and rehabilitation, Performance optimization, post-offer employment testing, functional capacity evaluations, and ergonomic assessments.
