About us: Flowers Hospital is a 235-bed healthcare facility offering inpatient, outpatient, medical, surgical, diagnostic and emergency care for the Wiregrass community. Job Summary: Under the supervision of the Patient Access Director: Is responsible for training all aspects of Patient Access, focusing on registration processes, insurance verification, scheduling, patient interaction, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Education, Business, Health Administration or a related field is preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a Patient Access role, with a strong understanding of patient registration, insurance verification, and scheduling. Prior experience in training or education is highly desirable.In-depth knowledge of healthcare systems, patient access workflows, and regulatory compliance in healthcare. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems, preferably Medhost Patient Access and Cerner.
