Aspirus Inc. in Wausau, WI is seeking a Patient Access Scheduler II to join our team!
The Patient Access Scheduler II has strong phone skills to support patient access by managing inbound and outbound calls in a contact center setting. This position will schedule patient appointments for our busy primary care providers while following established protocols that promote patient and physician satisfaction and schedule efficiencies. You will be responsible for answering 75-125 inbound calls per day, placing outbound calls to patients to follow up, maintain EPIC work queue and providing back-up clerical support to other departments, as required.
HOURS: Full-time or 1.0 FTE, 80 hours per two weeks pay period.
Experience/Qualifications
Knowledge of office procedures normally acquired through completion of a High School diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.Associate degree in Business Administration or Health Care Business Services or other applicable area strongly preferred, Bachelor’s degree preferred.Proficiency in anatomy, physiology and medical terminology requiredMinimum of 3 years’ experience in a business office or healthcare setting requiredBasic knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT codes requiredKnowledge of Epic electronic health record strongly preferredAbility to proficiently use a computer and type required; experience with the electronic medical record strongly preferredExcellent written and oral communication skills with a high degree of professionalism.Excellent listening skills, eye, hand and auditory coordination.Ability to work cooperatively and effectively with providers, patients, staff and the public.Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, under pressure, with time restraints.Ability to cope with rapidly changing demands for records (fast-paced work environment).Ability to file and maintain patient records, files, and other correspondence.Knowledge of federal and state laws regarding HIPAA and release of informationEmployee Benefits
