Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding a Pathology Assistant to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi and North Central Bronx. The Hospitals are part of NYC Health + Hospitals. Jacobi is a 457-bed, Level I Trauma Center and NCB has 213 licensed beds. The hospital maintains a strong academic affiliation with Albert Einstein Medical College to maintain its high healthcare delivery standards.

Responsibilities Prosection of biopsies from all tissue sitesPerformance of autopsies as neededProsection of specimens requiring simple and complex dissection, selection of sections for analyses to fulfill all CAP requirements for the specific tissue evaluationsProvide appropriate dictation to fulfill all CAP requirements for the specific tissue evaluations.When necessary produce labeled cassettes and slidesBe capable of preparing frozen section slides including prosection, cryostat sectioning and routine staining Be capable of providing gross photographic picturesPursue required CME's for the incumbents certification Maintain a clean orderly gross station Qualifications NYSDOH LicenseAmerican Society of Clinical Pathologists License (ASCP) - PA LicenseGraduation or near graduation from an accredited Pathologist Assistant ProgramPreferred atuposy experienceExceptional Benefits Include:
