As part of our People Advisory Services – Short Term Business Traveller team, you help our clients manage business issues relating to their global workforce by providing services to their business travellers/ international assignees / foreign local hires etc.

Purpose

Your role helps our clients manage the complex challenges of deploying a globally mobile workforce. You help our clients improve their business in an evolving global economy and realize sustainable economic growth by helping them integrate the people agenda into their business strategy.

 

Role and Responsibilities

GDS STBT professionals support Immigration, Posted Workers, tax mobility professionals and onshore stakeholders execute on a range of administrative and support tasks.  You will assist GDS Assistant Managers and Managers across various activities to deliver exceptional client service across high volume accounts and meet SLA and KPI measures predominantly on Social Security.

You will oversee the electronic case management processes, as well as email communication and reporting for various tasks or team assigned. You will support collection and tracking of case documentation, reporting, and monitoring of status and preparation of application documentation per the protocol followed for each case type for the Short-Term Business Traveller (STBT) population of a client.

You will stay abreast of regulatory changes in the applicable travel mobility domain, supporting senior caseworkers and lawyers to implement necessary changes in case management and processes in a timely manner.

Tasks include:

Understands the purpose of the Social Security / certificate of coverage/A1, totalization agreements Fully understands the concepts behind social security and its application to client queries and client scope. Proactively identifies potential challenges from authorities' different interpretation of legislation and take steps to resolve Has a broad understanding of authorities' practices around the world for handling certification; proactive & pre-emptive approach where authorities may challenge an application Signs off on data requests for all country applications Signs off for bilateral applications Has proactive approach to identify where changes may have occurred compared to past applications and suggests solution. Identifies and/or processes improvements and mapping to collate data effectively/minimise multiple touchpoints with EY local teams and client/employee/other teams. Able to draft responses to social security for information requested and proactively identifies where OOS should be requested, working with GDS L3 to obtain approval.

Additional Responsibilities include:

Uphold EY’s risk management protocols, managing confidential information with the utmost professionalism. Drive the adoption and management of technology tools and solutions to enhance service delivery. Take ownership of performance and quality metrics, including SLA/KPI reports, client reporting, escalations, utilization, and performance metrics. Set quality and performance standards for the accurate and technically correct preparation and submission of applications, identifying potential issues proactively. Cultivate a collaborative and positive work environment, encouraging teamwork and shared success. Maintain and update a comprehensive knowledge base of travel requirements, technicalities, and processes to provide expert advice. Identify and implement strategies to enhance quality, business performance, and process efficiency. Adapt to a fast-paced environment with a focus on accuracy and flexibility in task management. Lead the training and development of new team members, promoting continuous improvement and productivity within the team and office-wide projects. Exercise sound judgment and critical thinking to make decisions and take appropriate actions based on provided instructions or independent analysis. Provide support to the wider team with administrative and immigration-related queries and actively participate in immigration projects as required.

 

GDS STBT teams run in a client service focused environment and team members have high levels of contact with EY professionals across the world, as well as contact with assignees, government agencies and Tax mobility professionals at all levels, from different cultural and national backgrounds. Requirements to work outside of local business hours to according to clients' needs and different time zones will arise.

Role Requirements

Qualification:

•            Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource, Business Administration, travel, tourism and hospitality, Commerce, Arts, Law (Immigration), English Language and Literature/Communicative English/Mass Communication & Journalism or related fields.

•            MBA/Masters in relevant field an advantage.

Experience:

•    5 - 8 years relevant experience in handling Social Security Downstream Delivery and implementation.

•    Working exposure to case management technology desirable

•    Knowledge of Social Security, Business Travellers, Posted Workers Directive, Tax Regulations, and reporting would be an advantage.

•    Any prior Global Mobility experience will be very helpful.

•    Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (especially word and excel) and Data visualisation tools (Power BI, Alteryx/Tableau)

•    Efficient and accurate typing skills

•    Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

•    Ability to work under tight deadlines and high volume

•    Ability to contribute to an efficient, innovative, and team-oriented work environment

•    Proven administrative and organizational skills

Advanced MS Excel with macros knowledge will be added advantage.
