Responsibilities

JOB SUMMARY:

This position supports plant engineering in accomplishing the stockroom supply goals. The candidate must be self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision. The candidate must have advanced computer skills. The primary responsibilities are ensuring parts are available for all manufacturing equipment and related equipment (building and grounds). The job responsibilities in this posting are not all-inclusive, and other duties may be assigned.

 

JOB DUTIES:

Assist the Engineering and Maintenance department in acquiring needed services and parts. Assist site personnel with SAP inquiries and issues.Resolve all internal and external receiving issues.Must work well in group situations; must deal effectively with conflict.Must quickly identify and resolve issues.Must work well with all levels of the organization.Must effectively communicate written & verbally up and down the Pactiv organization and outside Pactiv vendors and contractors.Ensure all parts are received daily and re-stock shelves in a timely manner.Daily cycle counts required.Mini inventories twice a week of high usage parts.Completes annual storeroom physical inventorySweep and organize store room area weekly.

 

Qualifications

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Good organizational skillsGood communication skillsStrong analytical skills and verbal & written communication skills.Must have competent computer skills Knowledgeable about production machine operation and parts.Understanding of mechanical and electrical parts technology and terminology. Must be able to create Excel spreadsheets with formulas and charts for analysis.Must be self-motivatedMust be able to climb stairs several times daily.High School diploma and significant experience.Self-Motivated Possess a positive professional attitudeAbility to work under pressureMust be a demonstrated team player and have excellent interpersonal skills.Available off schedule as required to meet corporate stockroom initiatives.Able to lift 50 pounds or more.Forklift license required.Must have general knowledge of SAP and the ability to create requisitions. All other duties assigned.

The plant was acquired by Pactiv in 2003, manufactures PET and Polypropylene Lids & ESL Trays, and has approximately 180 employees.  The Conyers plant was awarded Pactiv safety plant of the year 2018, Foodservice BU Environmental plant of the year 2019.
