Parts Department Assistant
Employee will be responsible for assisting in the daily operations of an aircraft repair and modification facility parts department. Our parts department supports 40+ technicians maintaining all types of General Aviation and Corporate Aviation aircraft as well as outside customer and internet sales. Employee will be responsible for generating purchase orders, shipping/receiving, inventory management, establishing reorder points for inventory items, PO/Invoice reconciliation, RFQ’s, data entry, helping to expand outside sales and establishing discounted contracts with suppliers and shippers. Operation of vehicles including forklifts. Ability to lift large boxes.
Straight Flight is a subsidiary of Sierra Nevada Corporation since 2007 and is equipped with 3 18,000 square foot hangars with back shops for fabrication of both metal and composite parts, avionics repair, and painting projects. Straight Flight became a Certified Repair Station with the Federal Aviation Administration in 1992 and was rated by the European Union Aviation Safety Agency in 2007. Straight Flight currently holds a very impressive Operations Specification that includes 5 Class ratings.

Must-haves:

High school diploma or GED equivalent and typically 2-4 or more years of relevant experienceA higher level degree may substitute for experienceRelated experience may be considered in lieu of required educationMicrosoft Word and Excel skillsUnderstanding and experience with the practical application of Inventory and Supply Chain/Logistics principles and techniquesProgressive experience with inventory databasesAbility to learn and operate Corridor softwareExperience operating as forklift

Preferred:

HazMat Training/CertificationFamiliarity with Corridor or similar aviation maintenance tracking systems will be favorably considered
