WSP is currently seeking for a **Part-Time Senior Communications and Mapping Specialist** based in our **San Francisco or Oakland office** . Become a member of our Advisory Services/Communications & Public Involvement (CPI) Team and be a part of a growing organization of professionals. The primary goal of the **Part-Time Senior Communications and Mapping Specialist** is to provide mapping and graphic artist support for WSP's clients. This work includes the use of GIS, Adobe Illustrator and MAPublisher programs. This position involves working with various datasets, software tools, and stakeholders to deliver accurate and meaningful maps and spatial analyses.

Your Impact
+ Design and produce high-quality maps for planning documents and other uses.
+ Collect, process and analyze geographic data from multiple sources, including ArcGIS.
+ Perform geospatial analysis to support decision-making and project planning.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify mapping needs and deliver customized solutions.
+ Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with relevant standards.
+ Present mapping products and findings to clients in a clear and concise manner.
+ Ability to exercise prudent, independent judgment and excellent customer relations/people skills.
+ Ability to perform under minimal supervision, including strong decision-making, problem-solving, multi-tasking and workload balancing skills.
+ Proficiency in ArcGIS, MAPublisher and Illustrator.
+ Responsibility to quickly grasp and thoroughly understand the Bay Area’s transportation modes and key systems.
+ Work collaboratively in a dynamic team environment, as well as independently, utilizing best practices for public information, including the quick and accurate dissemination of information to clients.
Who You Are
**Required Qualifications**
+ Bachelor’s degree in communications/marketing, business or related field, or equivalent work experience in graphic design and/or mapping.
+ 12+ years of experience in graphic design and mapping for a transportation agency.
+ Experience with developing complex maps for planning documents.
+ Superior command of the English language, with excellent written/oral communication and proofing skills.
+ Attention to detail and prior experience with quality assurance/quality control.
+ Outstanding interpersonal communication skills and the ability to deal effectively with all levels within an organization and on a project level.
+ Excellent organizational and time management skills and experience coordinating with team members.

Compensation:
Expected Salary (all locations): $134,400 - $248,380
WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location.
